33 Hilarious Sci-Fi Memes to Fill Your Nerdy Needs (April 1, 2024)

One of my favorite recent shows is What We Do In The Shadows-- a comedy about a group of centuries-old vampires living in modern times, trying to keep up with the 21st century and making goofs and gags along the way. I'm not sure if you could call it sci-fi. Are vampires sci-fi? Or are they fantasy? Either way, it's made-up stuff and supernatural stuff happens and I'm a huge fan. I love its juxtaposition of all the high-concept fantastical costumes and characters and special effects with mundane, human comedy.

All of my favorite sci-fi/fantasy shows and movies have this kind of streak to it. There has to be a very palpable layer of humanness even if we're not dealing with humans. Yes, even Gremlins. Gremlins are human too. These memes do just that: combine our favorite sci-fi stuff with some good old human funnies. Let the good times roll.
